| Abstract: |
In this session, the speaker will provide an overview of the basics of the Distributed Management Task Force's (DMTF) Common Information Model (CIM) approach and how to manage z/OS in a multi platform enterprise environment. The CIM standard defines a common data model to represent IT resources in a platform independent fashion paired with a standard access protocol, based on XML and HTTP. He will describe how the z/OS CIM server provides a variety of information about Resource Measurement Facility (RMF) metrics, JES2/JES3, Sysplex, LPARs, network, disks, and other system resources. |
