In this session, the speakers will cover Interactive Problem Control System (IPCS) commands up through and including z/OS 1.9. Whether you are a novice or experienced IPCS user, you can take advantage of some of these powerful and useful IPCS commands when analyzing your problem output. The speakers are experienced z/OS Level-2 support representatives who will share a few of their favorite IPCS commands, along with some of the new z/OS 1.9 IPCS commands. Some examples include how to browse any address space or dataspace on your active system without needing a dump, how to browse and display virtual storage in the format of translated assembler instruction streams, and how to sort your system trace table by CPU ranges.
